Gleeson grew up in the state of Mato Grosso do Suli / Brazil - in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. However his work has taken him to the great metropolises of the world, like Sao Paulo, London and Paris. He boasts countless publications on fashion magazines such as Harpers Bazaar and Elle and his work has been exhibited internationally.
Gleeson frames his subjects using both old world and new world aesthetics. His neo-romantic images demonstrate a contemporary authenticity while existing in a fantasy of the present filled with lust, dreams, and longing. His photographs are a multifaceted narrative of beauty itself. With his special ability to work with natural light, he manages to create an expressive atmosphere in his images, that gives a great sense of freedom.
This is how he describes his path himself:
Hi there, I'm Gleeson Paulino from Eldorado, Mato Grosso do Sul and I've been traveling for so long that I still hold my breath when claiming São Paulo as my home. When you grow up under a suppressing religious narrative fearing a hot burning hell, you pray for a way out. Photography has not only been my way of escaping the world but also opening it. While my siblings had pianos and violins, I found a camera to translate feeling into motion. And it took me so far. I fell in love with foreign textures only to come back and finally frame Brazil through my own lenses - in
its natural light. Photography has equipped me with the tools to navigate my identity and search for the freedom I long craved. You can call me a "sensitive boy" now, it feels like a compliment.

Sensitive
Name something you love, and why.
Nature and the connection with it that we lack.
What would you do if you weren't afraid?
I would dive into the deep ocean with creatures that we don't know that exist.
Which professional success meant the most to you?
Winning a prize at the 'Salon des Beaux Arts', with a photograph that has a lot meaning to me.
Tell us something about your education?
I started making music at church from an early age, that helped me to develop a sensitive side. And in the end of the day experience, trial and error are the best schools in life.
A question that moves you right now
Aren't we all gonna die someday?
Why photography?
Escapism, it's a tool that has been helping me to find myself.
Analog or Digital?
Both.
Where do you go when you want to be with you?
Exploring places that I have never been before.
What was the weirdest encounter, the craziest adventure or the most beautiful moment you experienced on a shoot?
The most emotional image I took, was my also my fist encounter with the amazon and my indiginous ancestrals.
What is more important to you: Form or content?
Content.
What part of the human face is your favorite?
Eyes.
Where does your inspiration live?
Underneath of our noses. it can be found in every corner
